My name is Jolynne, and I'm the heart and hands behind every piece you see here. For the longest time, creating was my personal sanctuary—a passion I pursued just for the joy of it. I always hesitated to sell my work, worried that turning it into a business might dim that spark.

But with the incredible encouragement of my colleagues, friends, and family, I found the courage to share my creations with the world. My amazing husband and I took the leap together, and Hersey Creative Studios, LLC—and my personal passion project, Ampersand Creations—was born.

The name 'Ampersand Creations' represents that beautiful "and" (&) in life: the connection between a hobby and a profession, between a creator and their community, between my hands and your home.

As a disabled, Hispanic, and proudly pansexual woman, I believe that creativity should be inclusive and joyful. This shop is more than just a business to me; it's a proudly woman-owned, LGBTQ-owned, and disabled-owned space where passion is celebrated. Each item is handcrafted with love and meticulous care from my home in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
